Dogs prevent more than 100,000 suicides in people with autism in the UK, study claims Pet dogs have prevented more than 100,000 people with autism from taking their own life, according to a new study. 

Scientists from the University of Lincoln studied the relationship between people who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and their pet dog. The Daily Telegraph
