Productivity of the English National Health Service 2003-4 to 2009-10:
This study reveals that the productivity of the NHS in England has been broadly constant over the last seven years, increasing by an average of 0.1 per cent per year. However, the authors note that related research has identified regional variation in productivity levels and they make recommendations towards addressing these variations rather than improving overall productivity.
