Further to the level alert 2 issued on 27 January, the levels across England have now risen to Level 3.
The Met Office has forecast severe cold weather between 1000 on Monday and 1000 on Friday in parts of England (see link below for further regional forecasts). This weather could increase the health risks to vulnerable patients and disrupt the delivery of services therefore health and social care providers are requested to refer to the Department of Health Cold weather plan for England.
