Carers kept a mother's disabled son locked up for a year to avoid Covid For almost a year now, Anne Shepherd has been barred from seeing her son Sam, who lives in a care home. It has been agony for both of them – a scenario familiar to thousands of families who've suffered in similar ways throughout the pandemic.
